Gabe started reading a few months ago...really he taught himself. Wish I could claim I had something to do with it, but really it is the way God put him together...he loves letters (and reading).
Drew has taken to entertaining (and picking on) Ian.
Ian decided to join the world of the walking at the end of May...he's much steadier now, but here is an early walking stunt.
All of the boys are in "swim lessons" of sorts right now. Basically the classes are aimed at teaching them how to survive in the water if they were to fall in. They teach children from 6 months (crawling) to 6 years old. Here are a few videos from our first week. I'll take some more this next week to show some progression...
Ian still fusses a bit, but he's slowly catching on.
Drew started out lessons constantly saying, "I want out, I want out." A couple days ago he changed his tune and has been laughing and enjoying himself.
Gabe has figured out how to swim on his stomach and then flip to his back to float when he needs air. I'll update that next week.

Boy baby, girl baby?
Well, while Gabe was convinced we would have a sister, because after all, he already has brothers, we weren't so sure. We had our ultrasound a few weeks back and much to our delight, and surprise, we are having a little girl!!! At least that's what they tell us. The pregnancy is progressing just fine, though I am receiving weekly injections to try and prevent an early delivery like we had with Ian. They will do another ultrasound in 4 or 5 weeks to check on the placenta which was a little low, but there is a good chance it will migrate up between now and then. We'll verify this is a girl when they do that...just to be sure. =)
Chicago...adults only!
Andy surprised me with a getaway trip to Chicago over Memorial Day Weekend. Grandparents stayed with the boys and the two of us spent 2 nights in Chicago and had a GREAT time just hanging out together walking around the city. We've made it a tradition to get away between the birth of each of our children, and I'm thinking we really ought to do it more often...if only we had unlimited babysitting and cash flow!

May Recap
Drew's idea of how to eat an ice cream cone goes against social norms...and creates more of a mess than a cone really should!

Gabe and Drew are becoming better buds all the time. It has been a treat to watch them play together...and not as much a joy to watch them fight!

Ian is all over the place. He loves to climb...onto/into whatever he can. We have to keep a watchful eye on him!

Pepaw (Andy's dad) and Ian during a trip to Indiana for Memaw's retirement party.

We got to see Josh and Jamie along with their little guy, Kaleb, who celebrated his first birthday while we were there.
