Cora's 3 month pics

She is now 13lbs 14oz and living it up in the 90th percentile of kids her age...in all areas. She's talking, smiling, and suddenly making noises that sound distinctly like a GIRL! Definitely some differences from the boys starting to appear. We are enjoying each moment with her...I'm soaking it up, trying to convince her to stop growing up so fast!

Cora's hair is so neat and fluffy after a bath...unfortunately as the 4th child, it isn't fluffy often and doesn't last for long!

Ian LOVED picking the poisonous berries off the tree...how's that for good parenting?! We were supervising, even documenting with photos.

Ian's faces

Ian's expressions keep us laughing. He is a hoot!

Cora and the boys

The boys are fond of their little sister for about 10 minutes each day. The rest of the time I'm trying to police their wrestling, gymnastic moves and fighting to be sure they aren't going to crush her. She may prove to be a tough little girl!

Ian and his duckies

Ian is now 22 months and refuses to talk. I say refuses because every now and then he'll throw out a word, but if you ask him to repeat it he smiles and shakes his head no. Figures. So tonite he was actually saying something...repeatedly. Amazing.

Cora at 2 months

Is it really possible that our baby is 2 months old already? At her 2 month check-up she weighed in at 12lb 2oz...not bad for starting out at 7lbs 2oz. I suppose she is eating just fine. Each month I take a picture of her with the hippo, so we can see her grow...hence the large hippo in the picture. She is doing great at night, usually giving me a 6 hour stretch...I only dreamed of such sleep when the boys were this age! Apart from suffering through her second cold (hello fourth child), she is full of smiles and has started cooing back at me. We think she's awfully cute, though some might say we're biased!

More Visitors

Our dear friends, Leanne and Maggie, came to visit. Their family "adopted" ours while we lived in Greeley and it has been such a treat to have them! The boys are convinced Maggie is their new best friend--she's awfully fun. We certainly wish they lived a bit closer so we could see the whole crew, but are grateful to have at lesat a couple of them here with us!

Maggie keeps the boys in shape and Leanne loves holding Cora...and I love having extra hands!

My mom made it out for a few days to help and then my dad came out to fill in...I didn't manage to get the camera out while mom was here--we were a bit busy you might say. Anyhow, here are a few pics of the kids.

Sweet Cora

Cora is probably about 6 weeks old in these pictures...
I included a stylish after bath photo of whispy blond hair and of course a screaming baby photo just to be sure you know she doesn't always look so cute and serene.

Memaw and Pepaw

We have been blessed to have Andy's folks just 3 hours away. They have come to our rescue more times than I can recall...and they did it again as I threw my back out a few weeks ago and found myself stuck in bed.

Cora 4 weeks old

Believe it or not, the hippo is a normal size stuffed animal...she's just itty bity.
