Ian's tongue

He currently loves his tongue...really he loves to show it off!

Sleepy Boys

One day when Andy and I were both home I looked around and asked, "Where is Drew?" I walked into our bedroom and found him lying on the floor...awake.

I caught Ian sucking his thumb...he doesn't do it to often (yet).

Moving Lamps

I took this picture in an effort to document Drew's black eye. It looked a whole lot worse when his eye was closed. Problem being when I told him to close his eyes so I could take a picture, he squinted and scrunched up his whole face hiding his eye entirely. This actually had nothing to do with the lamps, he tripped and fell on the corner of a stool.

We did have a few casualties in the move...these lamp shades being 2 of them. While they no longer fit on the lamps, they work nicely on the kids!

Creative Basketball--video

Gabe set this up on his own...I love to see their little minds work! This is our patio which has been a great blessing as I don't always feel like making the trek over to the playground in the thick (humid) air!

Drew entertaining Ian--video

Drew takes great joy in "entertaining" Ian whenever he can reach him. In this case I was probably more entertained than Ian.

Saint Louis...at last

Drew has become quite the "big boy" in the past month (he turns 2 on the 28th). He is sleeping in the bottom bunk (and realizes he can get out of bed way earlier than we like), climbing on chairs and anything else around, and while I was just outside watering the plant he peed in the little potty and decided to empty it...in the sink.

Gabe didn't take a nap the other day but decided around 4:30pm he was tired. He told me he was going to his bed to take a nap...I told him he was not to get in his bed--in an effort to preserve a reasonable bedtime. The loud music coming from his room led me to believe he was playing, the picture shows otherwise...but he did NOT get in his bed.

One of the boys' favorite buddies, Austin, stopped in to visit on his way to a wedding.

Ian had his second haircut last week...the first one that I actually used the clippers for. He was starting to look like a little old man with a bad comb-over. It was time.

After a month away from Andy, the boys and I have joined him in St. Louis. We are still settling into our apartment, but feeling more "at home" each day. The process has been greatly impeded by 3 small people creating as much chaos as possible. I'll post some pics of our place when I get things put away...and find pictures to hang on the walls.

Ian's 5 month pics

It's hard to believe this little guy is actually almost 6 months (July 24)! He's more fun each day.

Shoes, superheroes, and slip n' slides

Drew loves shoes...anyone's. Not much brings him greater delight than to put on a pair of shoes (often shoes that don't fit, just to make walking more difficult).

The boys have entered the world of superheroes. Gabe got a haircut in his spiderman shirt last week deeming it unworthy of being worn the rest of the day. He, of course, found that to be unacceptable and insisted I put it outside in the (nonexistent) wind so the hair would blow off. I brought out an alternate shirt that he refused to wear because it was lacking a superhero.

Our dear friends, the Robels, introduced Gabe to the Slip n' Slide...and of course all sorts of other fun thing out on the farm--like the trampoline, horses, go-cart, tractors, WILD kittens and things of the like. We miss you!

Cousins, cousins, cousins

One of the great things about living close to my parents has been seeing my siblings and their kiddos when they come to visit. While we were in the Springs this time around my sister, Sara, came and stayed for 2 weeks and my sister, Sandy, came through for a couple of days. My sister, Janelle, also came down from Denver for the chaos! Here are a few pics of some of the cousins.
